School Year Calendar & Policies

VDC’s School year is broken up into 3 sessions. Fall Session (14 -16 weeks), Winter/Spring Session (22-23 weeks), Summer Session (9-10 weeks)

2025/2026 School Year

Last day of Fall Session: Sun, December 21, 2025
Winter Break: Mon, December 22 - Fri, January 2, 2026
Winter/Spring Session Dates: January 3, 2026 - June 21, 2026
First Day of Winter/Spring Session: Sat, January 3, 2026
Youth & Young Children’s Division Parent Observation Week: Sat, March 21 - Thurs, March 26, 2025
Spring Break 2026: March 30 - April 5, 2026
Memorial Day Break: May 22 - 25, 2026
2026 Youth & Young Children’s Division Showcase Week: June TBA
Last Day of Winter/Spring Session: June 21, 2026

Tuition is paid in full at the start of each session. To reserve a student’s place in class, email us at info@vadanceconservatory.com or call us at (571) 375-5065 for level placement recommendations.
Tuition refunds will not be granted.
Students will not be permitted to change classes/camps less than 14 days prior to the start date. Removal/changing from a full class or camp will incur a 20% penalty.
In the event of a mandated VA shut down, VDC classes will move entirely to a virtual learning platform.
Make up classes must be faculty approved through email to ensure proper class size. A maximum of 2 make up classes per dancer can be requested per session.
One free trial class offered to new students
Tuition discount for Knights of Columbus members.
Weather Policy- in the event of bad weather, VDC will update the website’s homepage and social media pages of cancellations at least 2 hours prior to class start time. If no cancellation is announced, assume classes are running.
Families are eligible for a 5% sibling discount. Discount will be applied to the sibling with equal or lesser tuition.
