2024 Spring Showcase Info

Knights of Columbus Auditorium

  • What & When: June 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - Convenient daily mini performances scheduled during student’s regular dance day & approximate class time (Saturday classes to perform on Sunday, June 2nd)

  • Where: Auditorium within the Knights of Columbus (5115 Little Falls Rd)

  • Each show approximate length: 20 minutes

  • Students enrolled in Winter/Spring Session of Mini Dancers level and above will be eligible to participate (Twirling Tots will have a parent observation)

  • Professional, age appropriate costumes to be ordered for each dancer enrolled in showcase

  • Cost to participate: $175 per dancer (includes 1 costume, registration for student participation & 6 seats at the performance)

  • Dancers participating in multiple weekly classes will be contacted separately to purchase additional costumes

  • Deadline to sign up: January 15, 2024 (Participation is not mandatory)

  • Exact Daily Performance schedules: TBA

  • Pre Professional Division dancers will not perform in the Spring Showcase held at the KOC

 
 

Frequently Asked Questions:

“Will additional tickets be available for large families?” - Each family will be given a maximum of 6 seats per performance. Young children are welcomed to sit in parents laps. Seating is first come first serve.

“My student is in a combo class, will they perform twice?” No, combo classes will perform one time with the dance style selected by the teacher.

“My student is in 2 classes, will I sign up twice?” No, one sign up per student. Once you are registered for the first class, we will follow up to inquire about purchasing a second costumes. Additional costumes are $80.

“Will my dancer be able to switch classes after Jan 15?” - If your student is participating in the Showcase & costumes have been ordered, students will not be allowed to switch classes.

“What if my student doesn’t want to perform? Will they feel left out in class?” Performing is not mandatory. All students will learn and rehearse choreography during the last 5 - 10 minutes of class and continue to work on skills and combinations regardless of showcase participation.

“Will my student have class the day of the show?” No, the showcase will replace normally scheduled classes. Dancers will arrive at the specified time in costume, ready to perform.

“What happens if my student signs up for the show late?” VDC must ensure the availability and timely arrival of the specific class costume prior to allowing a dancer to sign up after Jan 15th. Those who sign up late will be charged an additional $10 to support costume shipment fees.

“Are performance and costume fees refundable?” Costumes are made to order based on dancer measurements and all Showcase fees are non-refundable.
